Privacy Policy

Information we collect

AIRep is designed to collect as little as possible. You do not create a login or password, and we do not ask for your name or phone number. The information we hold is:

• Business details you enter. The details you type in so we can run a scan, such as your business name, website, what you sell, your location, and the names of competitors you want to compare against.
• Scan results and reports. The questions we generate and the answers the AI assistants give, saved as the reports we show back to you.
• Purchase records. A record of the purchases you make, so we know which scans you are entitled to.
• Your email address, when you provide it. When you buy on our website, the payment step collects an email address so we can send your receipt and a link to your report; you can also add one to recover your account. We do not require an email to browse the site.
• An anonymous device or browser account. An account tied to your device or browser rather than to your identity, using a session token stored on your device or in your browser.
• Usage and analytics data. Basic information about how our website is used — such as pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address — collected through Google Analytics, as described under "Cookies and analytics" below.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to run the service you asked for. Specifically, we use it to:

• Run scans and generate the reports you request.
• Show you your past scans and reports.
• Verify your purchases and grant the scans you have paid for.
• Keep the service working, secure, and free of abuse.
• Respond to any support requests you send us.

AI assistants and how your business details are used

Running a scan is the core of what AIRep does. To do it, we send your business details and the questions we generate to third-party AI assistants so they can answer them. Those assistants are:

• Anthropic (Claude)
• OpenAI (ChatGPT)
• Google (Gemini)
• Perplexity
• xAI (Grok)

These companies process that information under their own privacy policies and terms, which we do not control. If you would like to understand how each of them handles data, please review that provider's own policy.

Payments

How payment is handled depends on where you buy:

• On our website, payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details with Stripe, and we receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded plus the email address you gave at checkout (used for your receipt and report link).
• In our mobile app, purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment, and we receive a purchase receipt used to verify it and grant your scan.

In every case, AIRep never sees or stores your card or payment details — those stay with Stripe, Apple, or Google.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted companies to host and run the service on our behalf:

• Render hosts our backend, where scans are processed and reports are stored.
• Cloudflare hosts our website.
• Stripe processes card payments made on our website.
• Resend delivers our emails, such as your report link and sign-in links.
• Google Analytics measures how our website is used (see below).

These providers store and process data for us so that AIRep can function. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes, except where a provider (such as Google) acts under its own privacy policy for the service it provides.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential storage. We keep a session token in your browser so your account and purchases work. It is required for the site to function and is not used to track you.
• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages they view and how they arrive — so we can improve it. It sets cookies and processes usage data, including a truncated (anonymized) IP address, device and browser type, and approximate location. We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not combine it with your business details or reports.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by enabling "Do Not Track". Google explains how it handles this data in its own privacy policy.

Data sharing, and that we do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising SDKs or advertising trackers. The only analytics we use is Google Analytics, as described above.

We share your information only in the limited ways set out here:

• With the AI assistants that answer your scan questions, as described above.
• With Stripe, Apple, and Google, which process your purchases.
• With Google Analytics, for website usage measurement.
• With the service providers that host and run AIRep for us.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or our service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your business details, reports, and purchase records for as long as your account exists, so the app can show you your history.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app, using the delete-account feature. When you do this, your business details and reports are removed from our systems. We may retain a limited record of a purchase where we are required to for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

Security

We protect your information with reasonable technical measures. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and your session token is held in your device's secure storage: the Keychain on iOS, or the Keystore on Android.

No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep our systems safe.

International transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than the one you live in, including Singapore and the United States. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those where you are based.

Wherever your information is processed, we take steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.

Children

AIRep is a tool for business owners and is not directed to children. The service is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know.
