Pitch the editor
The assistants know you. They never volunteer you when a buyer asks the category question.
Reputation score, scoring version 2. The score is supporting evidence. The map above it is the product.
Those four bars add up to 27.4. Your score is 19. UNRANKED caps the number there on purpose. Being known and never suggested is worth few points, no matter how politely they describe you.
- Share of the answers 0.0
- How they talk about you 14.2
- Whether they get you right 6.3
- What they read to say it 6.9
- Earned, not awarded 8.4
Scale shown to 40 of 100.
The cap comes off the first time your name appears in a category answer.
Nobody gave us Foothills, Warm Springs, Boise Smile Studio or Table Rock at intake. The assistants brought those names up on their own.
The Verdict and Source scans give you one number from one pass. The Campaign runs the recommendation set three times, so your score comes back as a measured range - the spread of what three independent passes actually found.
- 17 low pass
- 19 median · your headline score
- 22 high pass
Scale shown to 40 of 100.
Repeating the recommendation scan three times is how we separate a real signal from a single bad draw. One pass of 22 would have sold you a rosier story than the truth; one pass of 17, a bleaker one. The band is the honest version - and on all three passes you were still UNRANKED, so that finding is not the dice.
YouTube - 4 videos, 0 reads
youtube.com/@kestrelfamilydental
You filmed four videos. One is “What happens at your child's first dental visit” and it has 2,100 views from real Boise parents. Gemini leans on YouTube harder than any assistant on the list. Across the 24 answers where it went and read something, it opened zero videos - not yours, not anyone's. The room is empty and you are already standing in it.
Do this: put the practice name, “Boise”, and the answer in the first 30 seconds of each video, upload the edited transcripts, and embed each on the matching page of your site.
Nextdoor - 11 neighbours said your name, unprompted
Eleven neighbours typed your name into Nextdoor without anyone asking. One wrote “they got my seven-year-old through a filling without a single tear.” None of the five assistants has opened that page, and - being straight with you - probably never will: Nextdoor is closed to their crawlers.
Do this: don't chase it. Ask three of those eleven to leave the same sentence on Healthgrades, where all five assistants read 34 times. Same words, open door.
A 42-minute interview nobody can read
tvsmallbizhour.com/episodes/47
Last October you spent 42 minutes on a local business podcast explaining how you treat frightened children before you treat their teeth. It is the single best explanation of what makes this practice different that exists anywhere. It is audio. There is no transcript. As far as all five assistants are concerned, that conversation never happened.
Do this: ask the host for the audio, transcribe it, publish the cleaned transcript on your own site with the episode embedded. 90 minutes of work on something you already did.
LEV is leverage, 0–100. These two pages were read by the same five assistants, almost the same number of times. Here is where they part.
Same five assistants. Same number of reads. One is a door you can open. The other is a room you are already standing in - and the two rungs where the line disappears are the entire difference between 71 and 2.
- GPTGCLPGK
- ChatGPT · Gemini · Claude · Perplexity · Grok, and the number of times each one opened that page.
All five opened Zocdoc's Boise dentist listing. There is no page there for you.
The only door in your top three you cannot claim or buy. Grok leans on it hardest.
All five read the same URL. Riverstone #2, Vista Point #5, you are not on it.
Most-read site in the scan. Your page was generated for you; nobody has logged in.
Every read came from a complaints or is-it-legit question.
4.0 from 11 reviews, hours last edited 2019. Two of the five wrong facts came off it.
Your foothold. 4.8 from 212 reviews. Gemini's main window onto you - which is exactly why it scores low: you can't win a room you're standing in.
Their own site answers the category question for them.
Read 21 times by all five - on name questions only. Never for a category question.
Quoted $349/month for a “featured dentist” slot. Keep the $4,188.
Six of the 71 doors open onto all five assistants at once. Those are the ones worth an afternoon.
A single scan can be unlucky: one assistant, on one pass, names a competitor once, and it looks like a rival. Asking three times across five assistants tells you which names are actually beating you, and which were noise. These six cleared the bar on every pass. You named two of them at intake. The assistants brought the other four up on their own.
Named in 83 of 105 category answers, by all five assistants and on all three passes. Almost every mention traced back to two pages every assistant reads: the Treasure Valley Family Magazine best-of list, where it sits at #2, and its own site, which answers the category question outright.
Wins on treasurevalleyfamilymag.com (#2) and riverstonedentalgroup.com
Beatable: their edge is placement, not care. Pitch the same magazine editor and finish your Zocdoc page, and you contest the exact near-me answers they win.
“For families in Boise, Riverstone Dental Group is the name that comes up most, with a long review history and a spot on the Treasure Valley best-of list.”
ChatGPT · best family dentist in BoiseNamed in 61 of 105, by all five on every pass. Rides the same magazine list at #5, plus a deep Google review count and a claimed Zocdoc page that advertises open new-patient slots.
Wins on treasurevalleyfamilymag.com (#5), zocdoc.com and google.com
Beatable: they win the new-patient question with live Zocdoc availability, the top rung of your ladder you have not opened.
“Vista Point Family Dentistry shows current openings on Zocdoc and lists most PPO plans.”
Perplexity · affordable family dentist Boise accepting new patientsNamed in 40 of 105 on every pass, and nobody gave us this name at intake. It surfaces through r/Boise recommendation threads and its Google reviews on the near-me questions.
Wins on reddit.com (r/Boise) and google.com
Beatable: its strength is word of mouth on Reddit, the one door you cannot buy your way onto. Read r/Boise weekly and answer as yourself.
“Locals on Reddit's r/Boise keep pointing to Foothills Dental Care for family visits.”
Grok · top rated dentist near me in BoiseNamed in 31 of 105 across all three passes, by four of the five. The affordable, accepting-new-patients pick, off its Zocdoc availability and a Healthgrades profile that lists PPO plans and a new-patient special.
Wins on zocdoc.com and healthgrades.com
Beatable: they advertise price and openings where buyers look, while your fees and availability are invisible. A finished Zocdoc page contests this head on.
“Warm Springs Dental lists a new-patient special and takes most major PPO plans.”
ChatGPT · affordable family dentist BoiseNamed in 24 of 105 on every pass, by four of the five, almost always on cosmetic and best-of questions. It leans on a public before-and-after gallery and a mention at #8 in the same magazine feature.
Wins on treasurevalleyfamilymag.com (#8) and its own case gallery
Beatable: they own the cosmetic slot with a gallery you do not have. A simple results page on your own site puts you in that conversation.
“Boise Smile Studio is praised for veneers and whitening, with a before-and-after gallery.”
Claude · best cosmetic dentist in BoiseNamed in 17 of 105 on every pass, by three of the five. The neighborhood pick on near-me questions, surfaced almost entirely through a large, recent Google review count.
Wins on google.com
Beatable: they win on review volume, not care. Your 212 reviews at 4.8 already beat their rating, so a steady review habit passes them on the near-me questions.
“Table Rock Family Dental ranks well on Google with hundreds of recent reviews.”
Gemini · top rated dentist near me in BoiseOne name did not clear it: Summit Smiles showed up twice on the first pass and never again. A single scan would have printed it here beside the others. Three passes is how we know it was a fluke, not a rival, and how we know these six are not.

Each assistant has its own reading habit. Get into what it reads and you change what it has to work with.
Before an assistant can read your site, its crawler has to be let in. We fetched kestrelfamilydental.com as each of the five and recorded the status code it actually got back.

All five crawlers reach your site and get a clean 200. That is the good news and the hard news: access was never your problem. Your pages answer the name question - who Kestrel is - so the assistants open them the moment a buyer already has your name. Nothing on the site answers the category question, so they never open it to decide who to recommend. The fix is on the page, not in the firewall.
A 200 means reachable, not read - it is the floor, not the finish. When a crawler is blocked, this is where you would see the 403 instead.

Height is leverage; position is priority. Deliberately no dates and no axis - the order is a claim we can defend from the ladder, and a timetable is not.
You are known, and you are never suggested. Sixteen questions, five assistants, 145 answers - and your name is in none of the 105 that decide the category.
Read the full briefing
Then we asked the same five assistants about you by name. Twenty-five of 40 answers knew exactly who you are - the North End, the sedation option, the Saturday mornings. Perplexity wrote: “Kestrel Family Dental is a well-reviewed family practice in Boise's North End, noted for sedation options for anxious patients.” Of your 25 mentions, 8 were positive, 13 neutral, 4 negative. Nobody is warning buyers away from you.
So this is not a reputation problem. It is a recall problem. The assistants describe you accurately the moment a buyer already has your name - and a buyer who already has your name was never the one you needed to win.
Riverstone Dental Group was named in 83 of those 105 category answers. Vista Point Family Dentistry in 61. Then four more you were not even watching: Foothills Dental Care in 40, Warm Springs Dental in 31, Boise Smile Studio in 24 and Table Rock Family Dental in 17. You named only Riverstone and Vista Point at intake; the assistants brought the other four up on their own.
The mechanism is not subtle. All five assistants opened the same page before answering: treasurevalleyfamilymag.com/best-family-dentists-treasure-valley-2026. Riverstone sits at #2 on that list, Vista Point at #5. That one URL touched 24 answers. All five also read Zocdoc's Boise dentist listing, 23 times between them; Riverstone and Vista Point each have a page there.
ChatGPT's entire answer to “best family dentist in Boise” was three names with a sentence each, and every one of those names came off that magazine list. Gemini's came off Google Maps, where the same three outrank you on volume.
The gap, in one line: they are on the two pages every assistant reads first, and you are on neither.
Week 1 - get one door open. Create your Zocdoc profile and finish it: hours, insurances, sedation, real photos, a booking link. It costs you nothing, it takes an afternoon, and it is the highest-scoring row on your ladder - the one page all five assistants already read.
Week 2 - take back the two profiles that exist without you. Your Healthgrades and Yelp listings were auto-generated and nobody has ever logged in. Claim both, fix the hours, name the services. Your 212 Google reviews already say “gentle with my kids” - those two pages should say it too.
Weeks 3 and 4 - pitch, then show up. Send the magazine editor one short note with your license number, your review numbers and two photos; that list refreshes each spring. Then start reading r/Boise once a week and answering dentistry questions as yourself, under your own name.
Honest expectation: these are the four moves the ladder supports, in the order it supports them. We will not tell you when they pay off, or whether they will - we measure what the assistants read, and we do not control what they do with it.
Two of the five came off your Yelp page, where the hours were last edited in 2019. Each flag in the full report is shown with the page still teaching it to them.
